The Asia Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS) is a branch of Cornerstone  University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and offers two degrees:  a Master  of Religious Education and a Master of Arts degree.

Both of these  degrees are accredited by the North Central Association in the United  States.  You can learn more about Cornerstone University at www.cornerstone.edu

I encourage you to examine their doctrinal  statement -- you'll find it to be pre-millennial and non-charismatic.

(You will not find information regarding ABTS on the webpage.  This is because ABTS operates in a couple sensitive countries in Asia.
The information on Grand Rapids Theological Seminary is  philosophically identical to ABTS, although ABTS does not offer all of the same programmes).

ABTS operates out of offices in Singapore and has approximately 200 students.  It is staffed by theological educators serving with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE --
www.abwe.org) as well as resident faculty from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.  The degree programmes use a module format whereby lectures are delivered in a compressed two-week span.

Some courses are also available through correspondence.

Currently the seminary offers classes in the Philippines, China, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand.

The committee authorised the addition of three countries -- India, South Korea, Papua New Guinea and Australia are under consideration.

I am personally thrilled that ABTS is giving Australia a look.

It seems to me that a recognised seminary that is unashamedly pre-millennial could fill a void here.

ABTS would make it possible for graduates to extend their training without leaving the country.

ABTS is also affordable -- current rates are AU$375 per course compared to US$1000 for the same course if taken at the university in the US.
