Values are ever before us and always present around us; from the moment we enter this world, the values of our parents and guardians are waiting to meet us and greet us.
Growing up,
we are confronted and often conformed by the values of our communities and
societies:
From birth to death, values, of some kind, under gird
all the different stages of the story of our lives. Consciously or unconsciously, values are
exercised and expressed from the seed of our conception to the seat of our
conscience. Whether dressed as life
principles or tagged as ideal living; whether labeled as strategies for life or
marked by whatever the buzzword at that time, they are really values.
Every body has values; even hardened criminals; cold-blooded
murderers, professional thieves and drug dealers have their own sets of values.
We display our values by the choices each one of us make from the
moment we wake up, how we spend the day until we go to sleep. Our lives are based and built upon
values. We are also being designed and driven by values.
In the run up to the August 21, Federal election, It is imperative that we closely examine the values of political parties and see which one ticks all the boxes in relation to the values that we consider dear to our heart and carry deep in our soul- i.e. Christian values which are founded on and formed by God’s eternal truth and will stand the test of time and succeed over the trials of life.

Our sunburnt country is wounded and weeping. If you look into her teary eyes you’ll see a grieving soul. The political corruption; the never ending violence; the drug war; the family break ups the relationships break down; the moral decay; etc.and in the words of the late Sir Winston Churchill : "We have progressed scientifically and materially, but we have lagged far behind morally, and now our problems have gone beyond us."
No one is of course suggesting that a government has the solutions to all the evil in our land. It would be silly and naïve to do so. Governments are elected to govern. However, some governments do not consider, for instance, abortion, blasphemy, corruption, drugs, euthanasia, (just to name a few ) as immoral, wrong and / or evil. And in a democracy like ours, a democratically elected government will naturally enforce its party values on the whole nation , whether these values are PRO or ANTI abortion, blasphemy, corruption, drugs, euthanasia, etc.. Once elected by the people , the winning party is placed in that privileged position of leadership, authority and power .Once given the charge to govern for a 3 or a 4 year term, they take control.
But who put them there? We , the people, did!
And who can get them out and replace them with another? We , the people, do!
How? when we , the
people, vote.
You see how your vote, at
the next federal (and state) election is extremely valuable. You can
positively impact our Australian family and permanently safeguard the values of
our Christian Heritage.

Our children and grandchildren deserve the best that we can offer them, and our Christian values are the best there is on offer. You cannot improve on God’s model. One day they will appreciate your vision and values and applaud the courage of your convictions. One day they will think of your life and legacy and thank God for your labour of love.
